Werewolves (also called Lycanthropes, Loup Garou, Rougarou, Beasts, or even just Wolves for short) are a supernatural shapeshifting species of individuals who unwillingly transform into large, fearsome, and extremely hostile wolves on the night of the full moon. Even in their human form, werewolves possess superhuman physical prowess, though not to the same level as a vampire, and their senses are not as powerful compared to those they possess on the full moon while transformed. These creatures are the most dangerous enemies of vampires due to their venomous bite, which is lethal to them. Werewolves are also hardwired to kill vampires on sight in their wolf form.
==Special Rules==
* If the werewolf cannot regenerate to at least -CON HP that round, then it will love. Otherwise it will die. It is a good idea to continue to hack at the corpse for a round or two!
* If a person bitten by a werewolf lives through a fill moon, he will turn into a werewolf. A Heal {Person} can heal lycanthropy. The disease resists with a skill of 15. NB: Once a person is turned into a werewolf, they cannot be “cured” in this manner. The disease has done its job.
==Speed==
The werewolf is widely considered to be one of the top distance runners of the animal kingdom. Werewolves can tirelessly trot or lope for long distances at an average speed of around 6 mph. At this pace, a wolf would average about 10 minutes per mile, which is considerably slower than elite human marathoners or ultra marathoners. Werewolf packs can cover as much as 50 miles in a single day, and there are stories of wolves traveling 150 miles in a 24-hour period when hunted. The human ultra marathon record is 188.6 miles covered in a 24 hour period, and that is without someone on a snowmobile with a rifle chasing them! At a top speed of around 50 mph over a shorter distance, however, a wolf could easily win the local 5K race averaging 1:30 minute miles, and we human runners would do well to worry about the wolf nipping at our heels!
