When falling, use the following rules for HP Damage:

  • TN=3
  • Skill=1 per meter falling
  • Each Ss does 5 points of damage
  • Feathers, or similar soft items, subtract 9 points of damage per Ss
  • Irregular areas in the landing zone add 5 points of damage per Ss
  • Damage should be considered into one or two body areas in accordance with the Optional Weapon Rules
  • Damage can be reduced by a practiced fall:
    • Skill used to reduce damage can either be the Characters' R (Reaction), Acrobatics, any throwing martial art skill
    • Each Success reduces damage by 1
    • TN=4

Robert falls out of a the third story window of a building he as climbing. Each story is about 2.4 meters high. Assuming the window is some height from the floor, we can assume that he falls between 5-6 meters. The GM rules the fall as 5 meters. As Robert falls, he tries to roll out of harm's way.

  • Robert has no skills which might affect the results and his R is 5.
  • He rolls 5 dice and gets 4 Ss for 20 damage
  • His Reaction roll results in 5 success, therefore the total damage is 15 damage.
  • The GM rules that he hit on his back and so, though he is in pain, he is still mobile.
